Concept to a live platform running on real practice data

The challenge

The data existed. It just couldn't be used.

Dental practices generate large volumes of operational and financial data, but it’s fragmented, inconsistent, and difficult to use for decision-making.

DentaCFO needed to move from concept to a functioning platform – one that could connect to actual data, turn it into business intelligence, and lay the groundwork for AI without over-building the first version. The real risks were on the technical side: API reliability and data mapping from Dentally, permission structures for financial data, and whether dashboards designed in the abstract would survive contact with a real practice.

What we chose not to build

Over-complex AI, automation beyond validated use cases, non-core dashboards and overengineered integrations were all deliberately left out of V1 - which is what made a usable MVP possible instead of an overloaded one.

04 · Foundation

Built to take AI later

The technical foundation was laid for AI-driven insights, automation and benchmarking, so the next phase is an extension rather than a rebuild.
