The challenge
A newsletter that outgrew its spreadsheet
TripTix began as a newsletter powered by Airtable, helping football fans find affordable flights and tickets for European matches. It worked — and that was the problem. With demand surging, a spreadsheet and a mailing list could not carry the audience it had attracted.
The hard part was never the new product. It was the 60,000 people already there. A migration that dropped subscriptions, lost payment history or locked anyone out would have cost the thing that made TripTix worth rebuilding.

The platform
From Airtable to a product
A web platform, now extending to mobile, with deal alerts, event calendars, city guides and giveaways - and free and premium tiers running through Beehiiv and Stripe.
Step four of six: tell it who you follow. Everything the app shows you afterwards comes from this.
One fixture, the whole trip — ticket, flight, hotel and city guide on the same screen, with form, venue and a countdown.
The app watches prices after you've booked interest: “16% cheaper than last week. We recommend booking now.”
01 · Migration
60,000 users moved without a gap
The existing audience was migrated off the legacy platform onto the new product without interrupting access - no re-registration, no lost history, no window where the service was down.
02 · Commerce
Subscriptions handled by what handles them best
Beehiiv for subscriber management and Stripe for payments, across free and premium tiers - integrated rather than rebuilt, so the product could spend its effort on what fans actually came for.
03 · Retention
Reasons to come back
Price notifications, event calendars, city guides and exclusive giveaways — the features that turn a deals feed into something fans open between trips.
The results
Best in its niche, and growing
The platform now serves over 80,000 fans across Europe with price notifications, event calendars, city guides and exclusive giveaways. Consistently rated 4.5 on Trustpilot, it has become recognised as the best in its niche — saving fans time and money while building a loyal and growing user base.
