Meet the Team

Paul Duffy

CEO

Behind the title

I’ve always been that guy who wants to know what’s next. From tinkering with tech as a kid to spending the last decade working across high-growth digital companies, I’ve been hooked on how technology reshapes the way we live and work. I’ve been lucky to lead some incredible, high-performing teams in my career, and now leading feels like the best chapter yet. I’ve had outstanding leaders in my own journey, and I take pride in being a people-first, growth-obsessed CEO who listens, challenges, and relentlessly pushes for better.

  1. Outside of work

I am a dad to 3 boys, Daniel, Logan and Jenson and a committed husband to my wife, Megan.  We are like any normal family, we love spending time together at weekends, water sports, online gaming, collecting and exercising. I also spend a considerable amount of time as a Dad Taxi.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mind, from owning a paperbound and tablet and macaroon when I was a child, to owning car washes, leaflet distribution companies, cafes, digital marketing agencies, and, in 2010, leaving the safety net of a full-time job to launch Scotland’s first-ever outdoor fitness company. Burn It Fitness grew into the country’s biggest and longest-running outdoor fitness brand. 15 franchises, a Guinness World Record, TV and Radio appearances and more. It was a 15-year entrepreneurial rollercoaster that taught me more than any textbook or University course ever could.

  2. If you could train an AI to do absolutely anything, what would it be?

Really easy.  Listen more and talk less.  AI waffles, a lot.  The smartest AI lesson might just be the one that makes us more human. I think it’s coming full circle, we are becoming less reliant on it for the more human tasks, which is refreshing to see!  Although if I’m being selfish, I’d train it to reply to every school email, birthday invite, and “don’t forget your kid’s costume” reminder. As a Dad to 3 boys, parenting is a full-time job in itself.

  3. Why Zudu?

Right now, we’re standing in the middle of a tech revolution. AI isn’t on the horizon, it’s here. It’s moving fast, and it’s rewriting the rules of business. Being at the helm of Zudu during this moment is a privilege. Scotland, a country buzzing with innovation. A team obsessed with building tech that delivers real impact. A vision to empower businesses with AI, drive global transformation, and enjoy the journey while doing it. That’s Zudu. That’s why I’m here. And that’s why the future has never looked more exciting.

AI DRIVEN. RELENTLESSLY HUMAN.
